Kim Kardashian is in distress, y’all—because her own mother just committed the ultimate act of betrayal (okay, maybe not ultimate, but still).
On Tuesday (February 18), Kim, 44, broke the internet (again) with the announcement that SKIMS is officially teaming up with Nike to drop a brand-new sub-brand called NikeSKIMS—a collection designed for people who want to look snatched even while sweating profusely.
It was supposed to be Kim’s moment. Her day. Her time to shine.
But then, like a plot twist in a reality TV season finale, Kris Jenner came through with the shadiest social media post of all time.
Instead of hyping up her billionaire daughter’s big launch, Kris—the woman who literally built the Kardashian empire—hopped on Instagram and shamelessly plugged Alo, another athleisure brand, while casually lounging on her very expensive staircase.
“Cozy days in my @alo,” she captioned the photo, clearly feeling zero guilt about the chaos she was about to unleash.
Kim, understandably shook, slid into the comments section faster than a Kardashian into a lucrative brand deal.
“DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO POST THIS ON THE SAME DAY AS MY NIKE SKIMS ANNOUNCEMENT?!?!?!” she demanded.
And just like that, the internet had questions:
– Is Kris Jenner secretly sabotaging Kim’s empire?
– Was this an innocent mom fail, or a cold, calculated business move?
– Did Kris get free Alo merch, and if so, does she have a promo code for us?
Kris, ever the PR mastermind, has yet to comment. But knowing her, she’s probably in a dimly lit room, sipping a martini, whispering “You’re doing amazing, sweetie” while signing another million-dollar deal.
Meanwhile, Kim is likely brainstorming ways to make NikeSKIMS so successful that even Kris will have to abandon her beloved Alo leggings.
Stay tuned for the Keeping Up with the Petty saga to continue.
