In a recent tell-all, Kevin Bacon, the iconic 65-year-old star of Footloose, admitted that he once went undercover with a full prosthetic disguise to see what it’s like to be a regular Joe. Spoiler alert: he wasn’t a fan.
“Not to brag, but my face is kind of a big deal,” Kevin confessed to Vanity Fair. “I can’t just throw on a hat and glasses and expect to blend in. So, I hit up a special effects makeup artist, had some serious consultations, and got myself a prosthetic makeover.”
Disguised as an everyday dude, Kevin decided to spend the day at The Grove in Los Angeles. And guess what? He nailed it.
“Nobody had a clue who I was,” Kevin said, still sounding slightly traumatized. “People were shoving past me, giving me the cold shoulder. No one screamed, ‘I love you, Kevin!’ I even had to wait in line for a freaking coffee!”
By the end of his undercover adventure, Kevin had a major epiphany: normalcy is totally overrated.
“I was like, ‘This sucks. Where’s my red carpet?’” Kevin added with a chuckle. “Bring back the fame!”
