Jon Hamm is back! And this time, he’s not just stealing scenes—he’s literally robbing his rich neighbors.
Apple TV+ has blessed us with the first trailer for Your Friends & Neighbors, the upcoming thriller drama where Hamm, 54 and still looking unfairly good, stars alongside Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, and Hoon Lee.
Plot twist? Instead of playing a suave ad man or a misunderstood genius, Hamm’s character, Andrew “Coop” Cooper, is a disgraced hedge fund manager who’s down so bad he decides to burgle his way through his ultra-rich neighborhood. Because, you know, when life gives you lemons, you break into your neighbor’s house and steal their designer furniture.
What’s the Show About?
After losing his cushy finance job (probably for doing finance guy things—bad investments, insider trading, or just being terrible at math), Coop finds himself dealing with a divorce and a severe lack of income. Instead of picking up a normal job like the rest of us peasants, he decides that robbing his ultra-wealthy neighbors in Westmont Village is the way to go. But plot twist! These people aren’t just hoarding Birkin bags and questionable art—oh no. They’ve got secrets, and Coop quickly realizes that behind every infinity pool and marble countertop, there’s something way more dangerous than just overpriced organic snacks.
The cast also features Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Marie Gravitt, and Donovan Colan—aka a stacked lineup of talented people who will definitely make this show worth watching.
Apple TV+ Is So Confident, They Renewed It Before You Even Asked
Apple TV+ is already flexing, having renewed Your Friends & Neighbors for a second season before the first one even airs. That means they know they’ve got a hit on their hands—or they just really, really love Jon Hamm (which is fair).
The nine-episode first season drops with two episodes on Friday, April 11, and then blesses us with new ones weekly until May 30. So mark your calendars, lock your doors (just in case), and get ready for a show where Jon Hamm plays a criminal—but, like, a charming one.
