Jennifer Lopez just put on a clinic in how to dodge an ex-related question with style, grace, and maybe a hint of “I’m not here for this today.”
The moment started when an interviewer—clearly feeling bold—asked JLo about a recent compliment Ben had given her. The man himself, Ben Affleck, had just called Jennifer’s performance in their upcoming film Unstoppable nothing less than “spectacular.” A sweet sentiment, right? But maybe a little awkward, given that he’s producing the movie and she’s starring. Now, it’s easy to think this would be a friendly chat about mutual respect for the craft, but nope! Things took an unexpected, yet highly entertaining, turn.
When pressed to give her thoughts on Ben’s producing skills, JLo clearly decided, “Not today, sir!” Instead of anything even remotely Ben-related, she gave a glowing, all-inclusive “shoutout” to the entire cast and crew, calling everyone “spectacular and wonderful.” She may as well have added, “This conversation is over” with a mic drop.
And hey, if you’re keeping tabs, you’ll want to mark your calendars: Unstoppable will hit theaters December 6, and then mosey on over to Prime Video on January 16, 2025, just in time for those post-holiday streaming marathons.
