Forget cake and candles—Gal Gadot is blowing out her 40th birthday by running for her life (and for the plot) through the streets of London like it’s a high-stakes game of “Where’s My Kid?!”
The Wonder Woman turned London Sprinter was caught on camera on Wednesday afternoon (April 30), tearing through the streets like the birthday girl just realized she left the oven on at home. Decked out in a sporty blue jacket and black leggings—classic “I’m about to save someone while looking flawless” attire—Gal was giving major “mom on a mission” vibes.
She wasn’t running from midlife crisis. No no—Gal is filming her upcoming action-thriller The Runner, which is basically Taken meets Suits, but with more cardio. She plays a high-powered attorney (because of course she does) who has to run across London faster than a Deliveroo driver to follow the mysterious clues of a creepy Caller and save her son from being kidnapped. Again, Hollywood: please stop kidnapping people’s kids.
The film is being cooked up by Amazon MGM Studios, and while we don’t know yet if it’s going to theaters or just straight to Prime Video (aka your couch), one thing’s for sure: Gal is out here earning her birthday cake.
Because nothing says “Happy 40th” like a 10K jog with emotional stakes and cinematic lighting.
