Attention horror fans and anyone who still has nightmares about malfunctioning Chuck E. Cheese animatronics—Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is officially coming for us, and there is NO ESCAPE.
Universal Pictures and Blumhouse just dropped the first teaser trailer for the sequel at CinemaCon 2025, where a room full of adults at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas probably screamed like toddlers and reconsidered all their life choices.
This time around, the terror is cranked up to 11 with McKenna Grace and Wayne Knight joining returning cast members Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Matthew Lillard, and Piper Rubio—aka, the brave souls who survived the first round of possessed pizza-parlor pandemonium.
In case you forgot (or repressed the memory), the first movie was a surprise blockbuster, scaring up $297 million globally and officially making Blumhouse’s accountants high-five each other in terror and joy. It followed Josh Hutcherson’s character, a security guard who took what seemed like a normal night shift gig—only to discover that the animatronic mascots had about as much chill as a caffeine-addicted squirrel.
Plot details for the sequel are still locked in a haunted basement somewhere, but the tagline alone is enough to send shivers down your spine:
💀 “Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances.” 💀
Welp. That sounds…comforting.
So, mark your calendars and start stress-eating your pizza now because Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is creeping into theaters December 5—just in time to ruin your holiday spirit. 🎄🎃🍕
