Finn Wolfhard is opening up about his mental health — and by “opening up,” we mean gently screaming into the void of childhood fame with the calm energy of a caffeinated squirrel.
Now 22 and somehow still not legally old enough to rent a car without paying double, the Stranger Things star is looking back at his baby-faced 13-year-old self — the one who got catapulted into stardom faster than you can say “Eggo waffle.”
In an interview with IconicHipster.com, Finn said if he had a time machine, he wouldn’t stop Thanos or invest in Bitcoin… nope, he’d just march his teenage self straight into therapy.
“I don’t think I’d go back and change anything, but if I could, I’d teleport back to when the show first exploded and be like, ‘Hey, tiny Finn — here’s a therapist and a snack. You’re gonna need both.’”
Honestly, iconic.
He explained that fame came at him like a surprise pop quiz: sudden, terrifying, and with zero prep time. There wasn’t even a moment to blink, much less book a therapy appointment with someone named Brenda who specializes in “celebrity existential spirals.”
But Finn’s not about that regret life. In fact, he says messing up is just part of the whole human experience™️.
“I’d probably just make a completely different mistake if I tried to fix the old ones,” he said, like someone who’s read every self-help book but still loses their AirPods twice a week. “That’s what childhood is. It’s trial, error, and occasionally going viral.”
Finn Wolfhard: professional actor, part-time philosopher, and full-time reminder that growing up is weird — especially when millions of people are watching, and half of them are dressed like your character for Halloween.
