Fifth Harmony may have split, but that doesn’t mean there’s bad blood—at least, not too much. Lauren Jauregui, former member of the iconic girl group, recently revealed that she still keeps in touch with most of her ex-bandmates.
“We saw each other a couple weeks ago, actually,” Lauren spilled to IconicHipster.com, probably while sipping tea and dodging questions about which former member is not in the loop. “The four of us are definitely still vibing.” That’s right, Fifth Harmony may be down to a Fourth Harmony friendship-wise, but hey, four out of five ain’t bad!
For those who need a refresher (or fell into a deep sleep in 2012 and just woke up), Fifth Harmony was the girl group formed on The X Factor U.S. They were the queens behind bangers like “Work From Home” and “Worth It.” The lineup included Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, Camila Cabello, and, of course, Lauren. But then, like all good pop stories, drama struck—Camila left in 2016, and the group officially called it quits in 2018. Cue the sad montage with “I’m in love with a monster” playing in the background.
Even with the breakup, Lauren looks back at her time in the group with a mix of nostalgia and… let’s call it character development.
“To be a part of [Fifth Harmony] was an honor,” she shared. “As much of a curse as it was a gift.” Oof. That’s the kind of statement you make about an ex you have mostly forgiven.
But in all seriousness, Lauren appreciates what the group did for fans. “So many young people were so beautifully impacted by us and our story. So, I’m really grateful to have been a part of it,” she added.
Now, the real question remains: which former bandmate got left on read? 👀
