Eva Mendes Breaks Internet (and Probably a Few Hearts) With Rare Ryan Gosling Shoutout—And We’re All Crying in Stunt Double

Buy Me A Coffee

Queen of Privacy Eva Mendes just did the unthinkable—she posted about her man, Ryan “Kenough” Gosling, and the internet is officially short-circuiting.

Eva, 51 and still looking like she drinks unicorn tears for breakfast, took to Instagram to praise her long-time partner and unofficial husband, Ryan Gosling, 44—a man so dreamy he probably has his own gravitational pull—for doing something truly heroic. And no, it wasn’t fighting off Barbie-induced emotional damage. It was way cooler. He’s been out here turning the Fall Guy press tour into an all-out Oscars campaign… but not for himself. No no. For stunt doubles. Yep. The real-life Avengers who jump off buildings, crash cars, and set themselves on fire while actors like Ryan sip oat milk lattes in the trailer.

“My man is the F best!” Eva wrote, which is like… the most mom-core way of saying “he slays.” She went on to throw glitter all over Ryan’s mission: getting the Academy to finally acknowledge stunt performers—aka the people who literally put their backs (and faces… and legs… and organs) on the line for our entertainment.

Eva continued, “After almost 100 years of the Oscars ignoring stunt design like it’s the middle child of cinema, it’s finally going to be a real category!!” That’s right. At the 100th Academy Awards, the stunt legends of Hollywood will finally get their moment to shine—and probably dramatically roll out of an explosion on their way to the stage.

But wait, there’s more! Eva then hilariously threw a little playful shade (or was it just a sprinkle of jealous spice?) by saying, “BTW, this is the last time I post a pic of my man and the total babe that is Emily Blunt. No más!” Which is code for: “Emily, you’re gorgeous, but I’m watching you 👀.”

Just for the record, Ryan starred as a literal stuntman in love in The Fall Guy, so his whole “justice for stunt peeps” campaign is basically method acting at this point. And now, thanks to him and the Academy finally waking up from their 100-year nap, Best Stunt Design will be a real Oscar category. ICONIC.

Now, Eva and Ryan have always kept their relationship low-key. Like, “secret recipe locked in a vault” low-key. But this little social media PDA? It’s giving Valentine’s Day on steroids. Let’s not forget, back in 2022, Eva casually referred to Ryan as her “husband,” and we all collectively gasped louder than when Ryan said “I’m just Ken.”

Eva is thriving, Ryan is advocating, stunt doubles are finally winning, and we’re all crying into our popcorn.

God bless this ridiculously good-looking, absurdly talented couple. And shoutout to all the stunt heroes out there—you deserve an Oscar, a spa day, and maybe a hug. 💥🎬💅
