Chrissy Teigen has officially called it quits on smoking—though her jaw is now putting in overtime.
While dazzling at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscars Party on Sunday (March 2), the 39-year-old cookbook queen and professional truth-bomber confessed that she’s finally ditched the cigarettes after years of playing a never-ending game of “will she, won’t she” with her smoking habit.
“I’m just furiously chewing nicotine gum,” Chrissy told Access Hollywood, presumably while grinding a piece so hard it feared for its life. “Don’t smoke. Smoking’s bad. Just stop now if you can.” Then, in peak Teigen realness, she added, “I’ve been an on-and-off smoker for too long, and I’ve stopped for the last time.” Dramatic mic drop.
She also admitted that while she’s very proud of this victory, she is currently hanging on by a very thin, very nicotine-infused thread. “I’m extremely on edge,” she confessed, likely side-eyeing anyone within a 10-foot radius.
This isn’t Chrissy’s first battle with a vice. A few years ago, she waved goodbye to alcohol, and by 2022, she was celebrating six months of sobriety, saying she felt “happier and more present than ever.” Now, with both booze and cigarettes in the rearview mirror, all that’s left is for her to go full health guru mode—or at least find a new non-life-threatening addiction (suggestions welcome).
