Britney Spears and her 18-year-old son, Jayden James Federline, are giving their relationship a major refresh, kind of like updating an iPhone. However, the news apparently didn’t make it to Jayden’s dad, Kevin Federline, who’s just as shocked as we are.
If you recall, back in May 2023, Britney and Kevin agreed to let both of their kids move to Hawaii with him—a place known for surf, sun, and where people go to “find themselves.” Now that Jayden has officially graduated from high school, he’s back on California soil, while his big brother, Sean Preston, 19, is still kicking back in Hawaii. Rumor has it he’s decided that “island life” is the real deal and doesn’t want to come back.
So, what’s brewing between Britney and Jayden?
“They’ve been spending a ton of time together,” a secretive but gossipy “insider” squealed to Page Six. Word is, Britney’s been floating around her home in pure joy, practically serenading the walls with “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman” because she’s over the moon about having her “baby” back home.
An additional source chimed in, saying, “Britney is beyond thrilled to reconnect with Jayden. Everything’s finally heading in a positive direction.” And she’s apparently so excited she didn’t get around to calling Kevin.
And what does Kevin think of all this quality mother-son time? According to his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, who spoke with TMZ, “If there has been a reconciliation, it’s news to Kevin.” Clearly, no one’s looping him in, and he’s sitting in Hawaii with nothing but spam musubi and the distant sound of the ocean, waiting for updates that are not coming.
Stay tuned for more updates. Will Kevin get a text? Will Jayden’s next graduation party feature a Britney surprise performance? Will Sean Preston ever leave the beach?
