Imagine this: Blake Lively and Aly Raisman, fresh off a fancy-schmancy night at the Time100 Gala where Blake was literally crowned a Titan (like, move over Greek mythology), decided to swap stilettos for soccer cleats (figuratively… sadly) and hit up the Wrexham AFC game on Saturday (April 26) at the Racecourse Ground in Wrexham, Wales.
There they were โ Blake, Aly, and approximately 7,000 gallons of star power โ cheering on Wrexham, the little soccer team that could, owned by the world’s most chaotic besties, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Spoiler alert: Wrexham absolutely obliterated Charlton Athletic FC 3-0. It was like Charlton brought a butter knife to a lightsaber fight. Thanks to that beatdown, Wrexham got promoted to the Sky Bet Championship League, which is basically like moving from JV to Varsity after being stuck in P.E. class since 1983. HUGE.
Blake, being Blake, immediately dropped a cute selfie with Ryan once she touched down in Wales, which he obviously reposted because โ come on โ whoโs saying no to that face? (We have the receipts: check out the photo below if your soul craves joy.)
Meanwhile, in other Ryan Reynolds Is Doing Everything All the Time news, it was announced that Season 4 of “Welcome to Wrexham” โ aka the docuseries that proves men can multitask if they really, really love football โ is coming to FX on May 15, and Hulu the next day. Set your DVRs, cancel your plans, call out of work โ whatever it takes.
And if you thought their week couldn’t get more A-list ridiculous, just two days earlier, Blake, Ryan, and Aly were looking all kinds of fabulous at the 2025 Time100 Gala in NYC. Blake even gave a speech because when youโre named a Titan, apparently youโre obligated to snatch the mic and bless the crowd. Ryan’s reaction? Letโs just say he looked like a man who realized he peaked when he married Serena van der Woodsen.
Aly and Ryan also had a cute little catch-up moment at the gala because โ fun fact โ theyโve been friends for YEARS. Like, weโre talking “text each other memes at 2 a.m.” level friends. Basically, they’re living proof that famous people have group chats too.
