ROSÉ is coming in hot!
The BLACKPINK queen and solo sensation, at the ripe age of 27 (because, you know, that’s when pop stardom really gets serious), just dropped the news we’ve all been waiting for on this fine Tuesday (October 1st): her debut solo album, rosie, is finally on the way! Can you hear the collective gasps of excitement from BLINKS around the globe?
“I can’t believe I’m actually saying this,” she typed out dramatically on Instagram, probably while sipping an artisanal latte and surrounded by mood lighting. “I’ve had many sleepless nights, tossing and turning like a rotisserie chicken, feeling all kinds of lost. But thanks to my awesome squad — friends, family, and my dog, probably — I’m now sitting here like a zen master, thrilled to spill the tea: my album is coming!”
Mark your calendars and set 25 alarms because rosie is about to land on December 6, courtesy of Atlantic Records, who presumably had a confetti cannon ready for this announcement.
She went on to say, “I have literally poured my blood, sweat, and probably a few tears into this album (don’t worry, they cleaned it up before pressing the vinyl). This is my diary, but like, cooler. And guess what? Rosie is my nickname, the one my closest pals call me when I’m off-duty and not being a glamorous pop star. So when you hear this album, I hope you feel like we’re having a cozy chat over tea and cookies.”
Oh, and in case anyone’s wondering (because of course you are), it’s a full-length album. Yep, not just a couple of catchy tracks to get stuck in your head, but 12 whole songs. TWELVE. ROSÉ is not playing around!
She co-produced it, co-wrote it, and Atlantic Records called it her “most personal and candid” project yet. So, expect some feels, some bops, and probably a few moments where you’ll wonder if she’s reading your mind.
