Billie Eilish just snagged her first big-time acting trophy! The 22-year-old sensation took home the coveted TV Performance of the Year award at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, held in the glitzy Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif. Move over, Meryl Streep!
And what was Billie’s winning role, you ask? Well, brace yourselves – she nailed it in the Amazon Prime Video series, Swarm. Cue the applause! Even Jeremy Renner made a special appearance to hand her the shiny trophy. Talk about star power!
During her acceptance speech, Billie pulled a fast one and dedicated her win to… drumroll, please… someone else! She passed the spotlight to none other than Dominique Fishback, the powerhouse behind Swarm.
“I want to dedicate this to Dominique Fishback because that show is all about her. She put her whole cooch into that show and she really carried the hell out of it. She taught me everything I know. I owe that whole experience. She deserves this more than I do. She’s incredible. She is beautiful. She is talented. She should be cast in everything forever,” Billie hilariously declared.
