Ashley Graham is about to high kick her way into Broadway history!
The 37-year-old supermodel, body positivity queen, and professional slayer of everything announced on Thursday (March 13) that she’ll be stepping into the iconic role of Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of Chicago. Yes, you read that right—Ashley is trading in the runway for the stage at the Ambassador Theatre in New York City, and honestly? We love this for her.
“I’m so excited I can finally freaking tell you this,” Ashley practically vibrated in a video she posted on Instagram, clearly on the verge of either happy crying or spontaneously combusting. “I’m shaking.”
Same, Ashley. Same.
“I can’t even literally actually describe my feeling right now,” she continued, likely channeling every theater kid’s first time in the spotlight. “I finally get to tell you. I’m just so nervous and excited and obviously very emotional. But this is something I’ve been prepping for.”
Yes, Ashley is not just waltzing onto the stage without preparation—she’s been putting in the work. The mom of three (who has probably already mastered the art of dancing around Legos on the floor) gave fans a sneak peek at her rehearsals, showing off some serious choreography skills.
She also revealed that this has been on her vision board since 2019. “Be careful what you wish for, because dreams do come true,” she wrote in the caption. “See you on Broadway!!! ❤️✨”
