Sam Nivola, aka Lochlan Ratliff from The White Lotus Season 3, just confessed to doing the unthinkable: breaking his NDA. And no, he didn’t whisper spoilers to his goldfish—he went straight for the big leagues.
The 21-year-old actor spilled the tea when asked if he let anyone in on Lochlan’s fate. If you’ve been living under a rock (or just have a healthy relationship with your TV), Lochlan was involved in a jaw-dropping, eyebrow-raising, “did-that-just-happen?!” moment with his on-screen brother Saxon (played by Patrick Schwarzenegger). Yes, that scene.
So, did he keep his lips sealed like a good little HBO employee? Absolutely not.
“I told my parents, but I haven’t told my sister. She’s bad at keeping secrets,” Sam admitted to Variety, casually dodging the wrath of HBO’s legal team. “I’m not supposed to have told anyone, because I’m under a lot of NDAs. But I told my girlfriend, because she was there while we were shooting it. That’s about it. I’m really scared about getting sued by HBO.”
Translation: He’s currently checking his mailbox for a strongly worded letter from HBO’s army of lawyers.
For those who don’t know, Sam comes from Hollywood royalty—his mom is actress Emily Mortimer, and his dad is Alessandro Nivola. So, if HBO does come knocking, at least he’s got some industry veterans to help him draft a really convincing apology email.
Meanwhile, we’re just sitting here, popcorn in hand, waiting to see if HBO actually sues him or just lets the chaos ride. Either way, The White Lotus drama isn’t just on-screen—it’s spilling into real life, too.
