Tracklist For Christina Aguilera’s 25th Anniversary Spotify Project Revealed

Buy Me A Coffee

Christina Aguilera is back to celebrate a quarter-century of pop perfection with a Spotify project that’s bound to make you feel old, but in the best way possible. Yes, the “Genie in a Bottle” icon is ready to grant your musical wishes once more, and this time, she’s bringing some unplugged magic with her.

Coming in hot on Monday, September 23rd, Spotify is dropping a special video project and EP in honor of the 25th anniversary of Christina’s debut album. (Yep, it’s been 25 years since you belted out “What a Girl Wants” into your hairbrush—time flies when you’re trying to hit those Aguilera high notes.)

This isn’t just any old project, though. Oh no, this is part of the Spotify Anniversary video series, where musical legends are celebrated in style. And by style, I mean unplugged renditions of their biggest hits, because nothing says “I’m a superstar” like stripping your songs down and still sounding incredible.

The magic happened at Spotify’s Mateo studios in LA, which is apparently where pop dreams go to come true. Christina will be joined by none other than Sabrina Carpenter and everyone’s favorite tattooed wild card, Machine Gun Kelly (mgk). Yes, you heard that right—Christina and MGK together, like peanut butter and jelly… if jelly had face tattoos and played a lot of electric guitar.

You can already pre-save this EP on Christina’s Spotify Countdown Page, because let’s be real, you’re going to want to be the first to listen. And if you need more reasons to be excited, the page has three exclusive clips from the project and a full tracklist that will make your inner 90s kid scream.

Expect reimagined versions of “What A Girl Wants” (now with added Sabrina Carpenter sparkle) and a brand new take on “Genie in a Bottle” featuring MGK, which I can only imagine involves a lot of dramatic guitar riffs and maybe some eyeliner.

So, set your calendars, pre-save that EP, and prepare to be transported back to a simpler time when pop queens ruled and low-rise jeans were a thing (but thankfully not anymore). This is one throwback you don’t want to miss!
