Yes, the “Genie in a Bottle” icon is ready to grant your musical wishes once more, and this time, she’s bringing some unplugged magic with her.
Coming in hot on Monday, September 23rd, Spotify is dropping a special video project and EP in honor of the 25th anniversary of Christina’s debut album. (Yep, it’s been 25 years since you belted out “What a Girl Wants” into your hairbrush—time flies when you’re trying to hit those Aguilera high notes.)
This isn’t just any old project, though. Oh no, this is part of the Spotify Anniversary video series, where musical legends are celebrated in style. And by style, I mean unplugged renditions of their biggest hits, because nothing says “I’m a superstar” like stripping your songs down and still sounding incredible.
The magic happened at Spotify’s Mateo studios in LA, which is apparently where pop dreams go to come true.
