‘The Tortured Poets Department’ By Taylor Swift Remains No. 1 On Billboard For Sixth Week In A Row

Taylor Swift is still the reigning champ at the top of the charts, and she’s doing it in style.

The Tortured Poets Department is holding onto that No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 like it’s the last slice of pizza at a party. This marks the sixth consecutive week that Swift’s album has claimed the throne, according to the chart wizards.

In the last week alone, this musical juggernaut racked up a whopping 175,000 equivalent album units. That’s a lot of people deciding they really need some emotional poetry in their lives.

Tortured Poets is proving to be as stubborn as a cat that refuses to get off your laptop. It’s the first album to dominate the first six weeks since Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time stubbornly clung to the top for twelve weeks in 2023. Come on, Morgan, share the glory!

Swift’s latest masterpiece now ties with her own Folklore for the most weeks at No. 1 right out of the gate. They’re like two best friends showing up to a party in matching outfits, looking fabulous and making everyone else jealous.

And it doesn’t stop there. Tortured Poets has also achieved the highest sixth-week sales since Adele’s 25 made everyone weep back in 2016.

Adding another feather to her already overstuffed cap, Taylor now boasts her 75th career week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. That’s more time at the top than most of us spend deciding what to watch on Netflix. Soloists everywhere, bow down to your queen!
