Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino were spotted together this past weekend, despite the Internet already shipping them off to Heartbreak Hotel. Yes, the same couple that was supposedly donezo back in January just pulled up like, “Surprise! We still brunch.”
ICYMI: Last week, TMZ came in hot with the tea, claiming that Sydney and Jonathan had split way back in January. According to them, these two haven’t been romantically linked since the start of the year — which is basically three Hollywood years ago.
Their last public sighting? January 20th in NYC. Ah, the good ol’ days — when their May 2025 wedding was still a “maybe” and not a “we’ll get back to you.” Not long after that, the wedding got postponed, and fans everywhere were like, “Wait… what?!”
But plot twist! Page Six just dropped the receipts: Sydney (27, Emmys-approved heartthrob) and Jonathan (41, mysterious Italian beef guy and fiancé? ex-fiancé? situationship?) were seen grabbing lunch in Los Angeles on April 5th. Together. In public. With food. That’s, like, three levels of scandal.
And while the photos don’t exactly scream The Notebook reunion, they do show Jonathan doing the ever-so-subtle hand-on-the-back move — which in paparazzi code means: “It’s complicated.”
Oh, and around the same time this emotional rollercoaster hit our feeds, Sydney casually showed up at the wedding of Glen Powell’s sister. Was she there to celebrate love? Was she hiding heartbreak behind a smokey eye and killer dress? Or was she just trying to avoid questions about her own love saga by blending into someone else’s?
No word yet on whether this lunch date means they’re back together, besties, or just co-owners of a really expensive dog. But one thing’s clear: the Sydney-Jonathan drama is still very much in season. Stay tuned, because this rom-com has way too many sequels.
