Sony Pictures, the cinematic powerhouse behind It Ends With Us, has come gallantly riding in to defend its leading lady, Blake Lively, amid her ongoing lawsuit against the film’s director, Justin Baldoni. And no, this isn’t the plot twist from a deleted scene—it’s real-life drama!
Apparently, the saga began back in August 2024 when Sony’s CEO first jumped into the fray, standing up for Blake against a wild social media trolling campaign. Because in Hollywood, the internet loves nothing more than a good pile-on, even if the target happens to be one of its favorite blondes.
Fast forward to December 23, and Sony has doubled down on its loyalty like a loyal best friend in a teen movie. In a statement so serious it probably wore a suit and tie, a spokesperson told Variety:
“We have previously expressed our support for Blake in connection with her work on and for the film. We fully and firmly reiterate that support today,” said the spokesperson, likely while sipping a triple-shot espresso. “Further, we strongly condemn any reputational attacks on her. Any such attacks have no place in our business or in a civil society.” Translation: Stop throwing virtual tomatoes, people!
Meanwhile, Blake’s co-star Brandon Sklenar has also chimed in, standing by her side. It’s nice to see the cast coming together off-screen too, though someone should probably write all of this into a sequel.
So, what’s next in this unfolding Hollywood drama? Stay tuned—it might just involve more plot twists than the actual movie.
