Scientologist Elisabeth Moss, Emmy-winning actress and star of The Handmaid’s Tale, just pulled off the ultimate Hollywood stealth move—giving birth without anyone noticing! That’s right, while we were out here binge-watching dystopian nightmares, she was busy bringing a tiny human into the world.
The 42-year-old actress casually confirmed the big news while promoting the sixth and final season of The Handmaid’s Tale at the 2025 PaleyFest L.A. on Wednesday (March 26). When asked about the whole “Oh, by the way, I had a baby” situation, Elisabeth was refreshingly chill.
“I feel so fortunate to be able to do that,” she told IconicHipster.com, as if popping out a whole human and then heading back to work was just another Tuesday. “That’s it. Period.” Iconic.
Elisabeth also took a moment to acknowledge that not every parent has the luxury of bringing their baby to work, adding, “Any of us who had the privilege of being able to bring our kids or see our kids at work, we would every single time be like, ‘Aren’t we lucky to get to do that?’” And honestly? Fair point. But also… imagine a baby crawling around Gilead. Just saying.
Moss first revealed she was expecting back in January 2024, but she’s keeping the baby’s name and gender under wraps, which means we’ll all just have to wildly speculate. Maybe she went full Handmaid’s Tale and named them something mysterious like “Offmoss.” Or perhaps she pulled a Beyoncé and gave the child a name so unique we’ll all be talking about it for years.
In other Elisabeth news, the Handmaid’s Tale saga finally comes to an end with Season 6, premiering April 8 with a three-episode drop. New episodes will roll out on Tuesdays, leading up to the grand finale on May 27. Will June finally get some peace? Will baby Moss make a surprise cameo? Stay tuned.
