Scarlett Johansson just checked a major item off her “Cool Things To Do Before I Die” list—starring in a Jurassic World movie!
The 40-year-old Oscar-nominated actress strutted into CinemaCon 2025 like a prehistoric queen, ready to talk all things Jurassic World Rebirth at the colossal movie event held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. (Because where else would you announce a movie about giant lizards if not a palace built to resemble ancient Rome?)
Sharing the stage with co-star Mahershala Ali and director Gareth Edwards, Scarlett was practically glowing with excitement—probably because she’s been waiting for this moment longer than dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
“It has been a lifelong dream to be in a Jurassic movie for the last 15 years,” Scarlett confessed. “Each time I heard they were making another one, I’d reach out and be like, ‘Hey guys, I’m free! No seriously, I’ll even play a velociraptor if I have to.’”
Finally, Hollywood listened, and Scarlett landed a role in Jurassic World Rebirth—which also stars Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo. Whether she’s running from dinosaurs, training them, or trying to avoid being their lunch remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: She’s about to enter the Jurassic hall of fame.
Catch Scarlett and the rest of the dino squad when Jurassic World Rebirth stomps into theaters on July 2. Bring snacks—but maybe leave the chicken tenders at home. 🦖🍿
