Sabrina Carpenter headlined the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco and had a fiery brush with disaster—literally!
The 25-year-old pop sensation was rockin’ the stage on Saturday (August 10) when her pyrotechnics decided to audition for a role in a disaster movie. In a twist worthy of a slapstick comedy, Sabrina was grooving along, totally in the zone, when a flash went off behind her that looked like a mini-explosion. Cue Sabrina’s high-pitched scream that might have shattered a few glass windows.
The video, which has gone viral on X, captures the moment of sheer chaos. Sabrina, in her best impression of a star who just saw her career flash before her eyes, darts towards the front of the stage. Meanwhile, her band and dancers are chillin’ like they’re auditioning for a cool, calm, and collected reality show. It’s like they were in their own fireworks-free zone while Sabrina was having a mini heart attack.
Outside Lands was Sabrina’s last gig before the release of her new album, “Short n’ Sweet,” dropping on August 23rd. Fortunately, nobody was harmed in this explosive mishap, and Sabrina’s still set to hit the road for her tour starting November 15th. Because, you know, a little thing like a surprise fireworks show isn’t going to stop her from bringing her sweet tunes to fans everywhere!
