Ryan Gosling & Pedro Pascal Bring Star Power (and Jawlines) to Star Wars Celebration in Japan!

Buy Me A Coffee

A long time ago (okay, like, today) in a galaxy not-so-far-away called Chiba, Japan—two of Hollywood’s most beloved heartthrobs blasted into hyperspace-level stardom at the Star Wars Celebration, and the Force has never looked this good.

Enter Ryan Gosling, aka Ken from Barbie, aka your mom’s favorite reason to watch romantic comedies. He strutted onto the stage like he just parked the Millennium Falcon himself, all to drop the bombshell: he’s starring in a new movie called “Star Wars: Starfighter”—which, judging by the name, is 97% pew pew and 3% emotional trauma. Director Shawn Levy was also there, possibly to keep Ryan from piloting any actual spaceships.

Then came Pedro Pascal, aka Daddy Mandalorian, aka the internet’s emotional support man. He swooped in alongside the legendary Sigourney Weaver (yes, Ellen Ripley in the flesh!) and everyone’s favorite Star Wars architect, Jon Favreau, to tease some spicy new footage from their upcoming film “The Mandalorian & Grogu”—a cinematic adventure that promises more space Western vibes, baby Yoda sass, and helmet hair.

Also gracing the stage were Lucasfilm overlords Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni, probably there to make sure no one tried to sneak Baby Yoda into their carry-on luggage.

So mark your calendars, space nerds:
The Mandalorian & Grogu hits theaters May 22, 2026—aka the future, but not too far.
Starfighter follows a year later on May 28, 2027—just in time for your yearly existential crisis.

Lightsabers were lit, Pedro was Pedro-ing, Gosling smoldered, and somewhere in the distance, a Wookiee roared in approval.

Stay tuned—and may the force moisturize your face as flawlessly as it does Ryan’s.
