Stop the press! Cancel your meetings! Unplug your ring light! Because Beyoncé’s other tiny queen, Miss Rumi Carter, age 7 going on fabulous, made a RARE (like unicorn-in-a-tuxedo rare) appearance on stage during the ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour’s opening night in Los Angeles on April 28, and we are NOT emotionally stable enough for this.
Rumi strutted out like a seasoned pro during Bey’s performance of “Protector,” which, let’s be honest, is now unofficially renamed “Rumi’s Big Debut (ft. Beyoncé).” Big sis Blue Ivy, 13, was also on deck looking like she runs the family business—which, to be clear, is global pop domination.
Fans screamed, wept, and spontaneously learned choreography as Rumi stepped into the spotlight with the confidence of someone who’s spent her whole life being tucked into bed by two legends and occasionally sitting front row at the Roc Nation brunch.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s over here acting like it’s just another Monday night in L.A., unfazed as her daughters casually turn the stage into their personal playground. Ma’am. Your offspring just walked out and the internet needs a minute to recover.
Now if you’re wondering, “Did I miss my chance to bask in the Carter Family aura in person?”—fear not, sweet summer child! Beyoncé’s still got more L.A. shows before she lassos her glittery tour bus and rides off to Chicago, New York, Houston, D.C., and Atlanta.
Bonus Tea: If you haven’t snagged tickets yet, there are still some available and they’re surprisingly affordable! (Translation: You don’t need to sell a kidney. Maybe just skip Starbucks for a week.)
