Patrick Schwarzenegger just cracked open the White Lotus spoiler vault, and it’s juicier than a reality TV finale.
The 31-year-old actor, who plays Saxon Ratliff in HBO’s third season of the hit series, has already given us questionable yacht behavior (yes, we’re still recovering), but now, he’s teasing what’s ahead in Episodes 7 & 8—and let’s just say, Saxon might be having an almost human moment.
Chelsea Calls Saxon ‘Soulless’—and For Once, He Actually Feels Something?
When asked about Chelsea dropping the “soulless” insult on Saxon, Patrick explained how it hit different this time:
“In Episodes 1 and 2, if she had called him that, he’d be like, ‘Uh, who even are you?’ and then go back to drinking overpriced cocktails,” Patrick told IndieWire.
But now? Now, Saxon actually thinks about it. Like a guy who just got left on read by his crush, he stares into the abyss and wonders, ‘Wait… do I have emotions? Is this what introspection feels like? Ew.’
Will Saxon Change? (Probably Not, But Let’s Pretend It’s Possible)
Patrick teases that in Episodes 7 and 8, creator Mike White wants to keep the audience guessing:
“I don’t need him to fully change,” Mike reportedly said. “I just want people to ask, Will he change? Should he change? Will he ever Google ‘how to be a decent person?’”
Deep questions, Mike. Deep questions.
Saxon Has an Existential Crisis While Watching a Hug
And now for the biggest bombshell: apparently, Saxon watches two people hug and experiences emotions. Yes, you read that right.
“There’s a scene where Walton [Goggins] and Aimee [Lou Wood] are hugging, and I’m just standing there… staring,” Patrick revealed.
His internal monologue? Something along the lines of:
“Wow, so this is what human connection looks like. Must be nice. Maybe… just maybe… I too could feel love one day?”
Will Saxon grow a heart? Will he realize that yacht parties aren’t a personality? Tune in to find out. Or at least stay for the mess, because if there’s one thing White Lotus always delivers—it’s rich people making bad decisions.
