Omar Apollo, the 27-year-old maestro of melodious madness (and the guy who made “Drifting” your shower anthem), is now leaping onto the silver screen! That’s right, according to Variety, he’s diving headfirst into Hollywood in Luca Guadagnino’s latest flick, *Queer*. This marks Omar’s acting debut, and let’s just say, the excitement is more real than your friend’s fake Instagram influencer persona.

Joining him are none other than Daniel Craig, the man who can make sipping a martini look like an Olympic sport, and Drew Starkey, who’s probably still trying to figure out how he got sandwiched between James Bond and a music sensation. Burroughs’ 1985 semi-autobiographical novel, *Queer* follows Lee (played by the ever-suave Daniel Craig), an American who’s chilling with college students and bar owners, surviving on part-time gigs and GI Bill benefits post-World War II. The story is like a wild ride through themes of sex, drug abuse, and unrequited love, with Lee becoming obsessed with Allerton (that’s Drew Starkey, guys), a younger Navy vet who’s as indifferent as a cat to Lee’s dog-like enthusiasm.
