In the latest episode of “The Zach Sang Show,” Normani, the 28-year-old musical marvel discussed releasing her debut studio album, Dopamine, and it’s safe to say she’s over the moon about it. Picture a massive, boulder-sized weight being lifted off her shoulders—yep, that’s how she feels!
“I feel, I have gratitude,” said Normani, speaking like a philosophical Yoda. Her solo album, which she released earlier this month, has done wonders for her emotional well-being. “I’m still processing my feelings… but mostly, I’m just thrilled that giant, metaphorical elephant has finally left the room!”
Normani elaborated, “I feel like I can be present, like I can actually live my life instead of just trying to stay afloat. Before this, I was basically doing an Olympic-level doggy paddle just to keep my head above water.”
Constantly fighting off that dreaded underwater feeling was exhausting, but now? “I’m in a much better place,” she declared. The “Worth It” hitmaker, who faced more hurdles than an Olympic steeplechase since embarking on her solo career, is finally breathing easier.
“Even the day before the album release, I was like, ‘Who am I kidding, I’m a bundle of nerves.’ But now? I feel like I’ve just come up for a breath of the freshest air!” said Normani, possibly while doing an interpretive dance of joy.
Normani’s debut album, Dopamine, officially dropped on June 12, 2024, and it’s safe to say she’s doing all the happy dances—probably even some you haven’t heard of!
