Nikki Glaser is spilling the beans on what really went down at The Roast of Tom Brady, and it’s a wild ride.
So, picture this: the 39-year-old comedian Nikki and the ever-iconic Kim Kardashian decided to roast the 46-year-old ex-NFL superstar, Tom Brady, live on Netflix. Sounds like a recipe for hilarity, right? Well, buckle up, because things took an unexpected turn.
The moment Kim, who’s 43 and still dazzling, took the stage, she was met with cheers. But as soon as she dropped her first joke, the crowd flipped faster than a pancake on a hot griddle and erupted into deafening boos. Poor Kim had to hit the pause button.
Now, in a juicy new interview, Nikki dished the dirt on why Kim got booed. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t because of Taylor Swift.
While chatting on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Nikki let slip that after the roast, she bumped into a guy who’s basically the human embodiment of chaos – a comedian with a knack for stirring the pot.
“Apparently, this guy decided to start the booing just for kicks,” Nikki said. “He’d had one too many drinks and thought, ‘Why not?’ He’s not even in the Swiftie camp. He just felt like tossing a boo out there, and suddenly the whole room was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do this!'”
Nikki explained that the crowd was mostly filled with sports fans, who probably aren’t glued to the Kim vs. Taylor drama like it’s a soap opera.
“It just snowballed from there, but it definitely wasn’t a Swiftie conspiracy,” Nikki assured. “I mean, this didn’t feel like a Taylor Swift fan convention. It was just a bunch of sports nuts looking for an excuse to boo.”
Nikki also theorized that the sports fans in the audience were just itching to let out some pent-up boo energy.
“This guy started it as a joke, and it took off way too much, but I was so relieved to find out it wasn’t because of Taylor Swift,” Nikki added.
Of course, Netflix couldn’t let Kim’s big moment be overshadowed by boos, so in the final edit of the special, they snipped out the booing. Smooth move, Netflix.
