Scream 7 is officially creeping back onto our screens, arriving in theaters on February 27, 2026! Mark your calendars and prepare your vocal cords because, let’s face it, you’ll probably be screaming (or laughing, if you have a dark sense of humor).
After dodging more delays, rewrites, and more cast drama than a soap opera during sweeps week, the horror franchise is back. This time, it’s got enough twists to make a pretzel jealous.
In a plot twist that even Ghostface didn’t see coming, Neve Campbell, aka Sidney Prescott (a.k.a the world’s most stalked woman) made the official announcement on social media. Yes, she’s returning! After sitting out Scream 6 due to some “you-can’t-afford-me” salary disputes, she’s back to take another stab at surviving… yet again. Honestly, Sidney must have a personal hotline with her therapist at this point.
But wait, there’s more! The godfather of meta horror himself, Kevin Williamson, is returning to the director’s chair for the sequel. Apparently, he figured, “If no one can do it right, might as well do it myself.”
As of now, Scream 7 has the release date all to itself, meaning no other movie dared challenge it. Guess the competition thought, “You know what? We’ll pass on trying to beat a killer who’s literally been resurrected like five times.”
Check out Neve’s announcement on social media, but beware—you might get a jump scare. Or worse, Ghostface might slide into your DMs!
