Kelly Ripa recently spilled the beans about her public restroom anxiety, and it’s hilariously relatable!
On the latest episode of “Live With Kelly and Mark,” which aired on June 20, the 53-year-old TV dynamo revealed her struggles with using public restrooms after a fan encounter. And trust me, it’s a tale for the ages.
Kelly confessed that her “tremendous performance anxiety” kicks in big time when she tries to use a public restroom. Just imagine walking into a restroom and hearing, “That’s Kelly Ripa!” Yeah, you’re not peeing after that.
“Even though I have to go desperately,” she added, painting a picture of bladder betrayal.
Her hubby and co-host, Mark Consuelos, couldn’t resist poking a bit of fun. “Do you keep listening to see what they’re saying?” he asked, probably grinning from ear to ear.
Kelly’s response was comedy gold: “At that point, I’m just so panic-stricken because I have to pee and it’s not coming out, and I’m in there longer, and now they’re in there also longer, and we’re all in there longer.”
And the pièce de résistance? “I feel like saying, ‘Guys, can you run the water or something?'” she continued, perfectly capturing the absurdity of the situation.
For those who need a refresher, Kelly and Mark have been hitched for almost 30 years and have three kids together. So, not only are they a power couple, but they’ve also mastered the art of bathroom banter.
