Kandi Burruss is spilling the tea on Kenya Moore’s dramatic exit from *The Real Housewives of Atlanta*.
So, here’s the juicy scoop: On a wild Tuesday (June 25), our girl Kenya, 53, got the boot from season 16 of the reality show. The whole mess started when newbie Brittany Eady allegedly channeled her inner mob boss and threatened Kenya early in the season. Not one to back down, Kenya reportedly upped the ante by plastering some highly inappropriate posters of Brittany all over her hair spa grand opening. Bravo, being the party poopers they are, didn’t find this amusing and said it violated their oh-so-serious code of conduct.
After Kenya was shown the door, Kandi, 48, couldn’t keep quiet. She hopped on her Amazon Live and gave her two cents.
“There was some drama, y’all. I wasn’t there, so I can’t spill all the beans,” Kandi confessed. “But I’m seriously bummed. I’m not faking it—she’s my girl. I do love her.”
Kandi—who already bid adieu to RHOA back in February—did admit that Kenya “sometimes goes a bit extra,” but insisted, “She never just makes stuff up about people. Reality TV is a brutal world; if you’ve got skeletons, they will come dancing out of your closet.”
Kandi also threw some shade at Bravo, wondering if they could have done more to keep Kenya’s drama-licious self on the show. According to Kandi, Kenya was “a major part of the show.”
“I feel like this is the end of an era,” Kandi lamented. “I don’t care if people disagree. It’s the end of an era. Even if you weren’t a fan of hers, you need that one person who’s unfiltered and keeps it real, stirring the pot and bringing up all the things everyone else is trying to sweep under the rug.”
