It’s been three long, Bieber-less years since the 30-year-old “Peaches” smoothie slinger last blessed (or haunted, depending on your taste) our playlists with his album Justice. But, lo and behold, like a rare Pokémon returning to battle, Justin Bieber is back in the recording studio, crafting new tunes that will inevitably be stuck in your head for months, whether you like it or not!
Now, before you panic: yes, Justin has been making some cameo appearances in the music world, collaborating here and there like a pop ninja. But he’s mostly been chilling in the land of “dad life,” changing diapers and probably Googling “how to lull a baby to sleep with autotune.” However, he’s ready to unleash something new on us all.
According to his latest co-conspirator, Mk.gee (who may or may not be a human, an android, or a mysterious DJ from the future—honestly, who knows these days?), the two are cooking up some magic in the studio. And by “magic,” we mean pop anthems. You know, the kind of songs you’ll find yourself singing in the shower, much to your own surprise.
“He’s searching,” Mk.gee cryptically said, probably while stroking an imaginary beard. Searching for what, you ask? A perfect melody? Inner peace? His missing left sock? Who can say! But one thing’s for sure: anything that leaves Justin’s lips instantly transforms into chart-topping pop gold, as if he’s some kind of musical King Midas. Meanwhile, Mk.gee is apparently in the lab cooking up some “wild stuff” behind the scenes. Think mad scientist meets DJ—what could go wrong?
Now, whether this new project is a sequel to Justice or something entirely different (maybe Injustice? Just a Little More Justice? Supreme Court?), is still up in the air. All we know is that something is brewing, and it’s probably going to be served with a side of unexpectedness.
Mk.gee, ever the philosopher of the pop world, dropped this gem: “Experimentalism has no meaning unless it’s done on the grandest scale.” Translation: If we’re going weird, we’re going BIG weird. Not content with building a music empire like everyone else, Mk.gee says he wants to construct his own pop palace, complete with a moat, a dragon, and probably a killer sound system. And guess what? You’re invited to the party.
In case you forgot, Justin hasn’t exactly been sitting in a studio 24/7. He recently performed at a high-profile wedding over the summer, his first major performance since being diagnosed with Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome in 2022. So yeah, he casually serenaded a wedding party while also recovering from a rare illness. No biggie.
Stay tuned, because once Justin drops this new music, we’ll be here to tell you all about it—whether you’re ready for it or not!
