Jenny Slate, queen of quirky comedy and one-liners, has officially thrown her hat (and probably a few choice words) into the ring of support for her It Ends with Us co-star Blake Lively.
In case you missed the tea, Blake—who played Lily Bloom, a florist with a complicated love life and, apparently, an even more complicated workplace—recently sued Justin Baldoni, the film’s director and her on-screen maybe-not-BFF. Allegations? Sexual harassment and, wait for it, orchestrating a smear campaign. Plot twist: this wasn’t in the script.
Jenny, who played Alyssa (Justin’s character’s sister and probably his least problematic family member), isn’t here for any of the drama. She popped onto the Today show with all the seriousness of a celebrity ready to battle for justice (and possibly holding an emotional support latte).
“As Blake’s castmate and friend, I want everyone to know I have her back,” Jenny declared, sounding like the inspirational bestie we all need. “Blake is a leader, a loyal friend, and, let’s face it, way too classy to deal with this nonsense.”
Then, in true Jenny Slate fashion, she added a sprinkle of dramatic flair: “The details of what’s come out about this whole attack on Blake are deeply disturbing—like, horror movie-level disturbing. But you know what? Blake is brave, she’s bold, and she’s got this. And I’m right there beside her, probably holding snacks and shouting motivational quotes.”
Jenny Slate is all-in for team Blake. Baldoni better take note—this isn’t just a co-star feud; it’s turning into a cinematic showdown worthy of its own blockbuster. Pass the popcorn.
