Gabriel Macht, the man who made pinstripe suits cooler than sweatpants as Harvey Specter on Suits, has officially left the United States. But don’t even think about asking him where he’s gone—because he’s not telling. Seriously, not even a hint. The man has taken “mysterious” to a whole new level.
The 53-year-old actor packed up his life, his wife Jacinda Barrett, and their two mini humans—17-year-old Satine (coolest name ever) and 10-year-old Luca—and vanished like a well-tailored ghost. When asked where he’s living these days, Gabriel gave the ultimate cryptic response: “I don’t tell anybody where I live because I like to keep that under wraps.” Translation? He’s gone full-on international man of mystery. Maybe he’s sipping espressos in Italy, or possibly herding llamas in Peru. For all we know, he’s hiding out in an underground bunker stocked with Bear Fight Whiskey.
Speaking of Bear Fight Whiskey, Gabriel just became the brand’s new creative partner, proving that even when he’s off the grid, he’s still making moves.
But let’s rewind to how this stealthy relocation started. Apparently, pre-pandemic, the Macht family had plans to shake up their lives by homeschooling their kids while traveling the globe. But then COVID showed up like an uninvited guest at a dinner party and derailed everything. Instead of jet-setting, the family got stuck in Manhattan, which Gabriel delicately described as “just wasn’t doing it for us.” (Translation: homeschooling two kids in a tiny NYC apartment is enough to make anyone flee the country.)
So, once the pandemic chaos eased, they peaced out and started living the dream. Or at least Gabriel’s dream, which involves absolute secrecy and presumably a lot of postcards that say, “Wish you could find me!”
Reflecting on his American roots, Gabriel shared, “I grew up in L.A. and I lived in New York for many, many years. Half of my life on the East Coast, half of my life on the West Coast.” But now? He’s everywhere and nowhere all at once. Basically, Gabriel Macht is like Carmen Sandiego, but with better suits and a whiskey sponsorship.
It seems Gabriel traded in the hustle of the U.S. for a life of adventure, privacy, and probably some really amazing sunsets. And while we’ll likely never know exactly where he’s living, we can assume he’s out there somewhere, being cooler than the rest of us. Cheers to that! 🥃
