Well, well, well… looks like Dexter: Original Sin is coming back for round two! Paramount+ with Showtime has given the green light for another season of everyone’s favorite coming-of-age murder spree.
The show takes us back to young Dexter (played by Patrick Gibson), back when he was just a fresh-faced killer-in-training, figuring out how to balance normal teenage things—like homework, curfews, and, you know, satisfying his *dark passenger*. Under the *gentle* (read: strict and serial-killer-coaching) guidance of his dad, Harry (Christian Slater), young Dex is navigating the fine line between being a good citizen and, well… doing what Dexter does best.
But don’t worry, longtime Dexter fans! Michael C. Hall is still around, lending his voice to narrate all the inner monologues of a kid who’s way too good at knife skills.
The show also stars Molly Brown, Christina Milian, James Martinez, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson, special guest star Sarah Michelle Gellar (yes, *Buffy* herself!), and Patrick Dempsey—because apparently, this season needed some McDreamy-level charm.
Variety broke the news of the renewal, but details about Season 2 are locked up tighter than Dexter’s kill room. In the meantime, you can binge all of Season 1 right now—because nothing says “cozy night in” like watching a teenager learn the art of murder.
