Colin Farrell had a very eventful night at the 2025 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (February 23) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Not only did he win an award, but he also got publicly called out for his role in an unexpected side hustle—being Hollywood’s least-wanted virus courier.
The 48-year-old Irish heartthrob took home the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series award for his gritty, crime-laden turn in The Penguin. But before he could bask in the glow of victory, presenter Jamie Lee Curtis hit him with an accusation that could only be described as… pandemic-era shade.
“And the Actor goes to… the man who gave me COVID at the Golden Globes: Colin Farrell,” Jamie Lee announced, proving once again that award shows are better when the winners get roasted before they reach the stage.
Colin, ever the smooth talker, took the mic and immediately confessed: “Guilty as charged. But Brendan Gleeson f-king gave it to me! So I was just spreading the love.”
