Evan Peters has popped up in the most chaotic way imaginable. The 37-year-old master of “Wait, what just happened?” reprised his role as Ralph Bohner from WandaVision โ and yes, the name still makes everyone giggle. This time, he materialized in a throwback scene with Joe Locke and Miles Gutierrez-Riley, leaving fans everywhere gasping, โWait… wasnโt that…?โ
In a new interview, Agatha All Along showrunner Jac Schaeffer spilled the mystical tea on Evanโs unexpected return, the Easter eggs he brought to set, and even promised more jaw-dropping moments for the showโs final episodes. Grab your cauldron, things are brewing!
“Agatha, Evan, and Chaos โ A Package Deal!”
On SiriusXMโs The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw, Jac revealed that having Evan back was always part of the master plan. โI mean, if itโs Agatha, you have to have songs, costumes, and obviously Evan Peters,โ Jac said with a grin, like a kid who knows where all the candy is hidden. โI love working with him, heโs hilarious, and letโs be real โ we had unfinished business with his character.โ
Apparently, theyโve known for ages that Evan would play the โexposition dumpโ โ but, like everything Peters touches, this โboring backstoryโ role got upgraded to โwildly entertaining chaos.โ โI mean, remember how in WandaVision we had that whole โSurprise! This isnโt a sitcomโ moment? Yeah, I wanted to do that again because, frankly, it was too much fun the first time.โ
Plot Twists Served Hot and Confusing
Jac kept the energy going, hinting at the intricate narrative structure they designed โ like a jigsaw puzzleโฆ but the pieces are scattered across alternate realities. โThe first couple episodes are kinda their own bubble. Itโs like, โOh, cool, this is Mare of Easttown for witches.โ Then, boom! You realize itโs all part of something bigger.โ
She even admitted that figuring out Evanโs character as the โavatar of the backstoryโ came from one of those lightning-bolt moments โ although she canโt remember who had the idea. โIt mightโve been me. It mightโve been one of my writers. Who knows? But weโre geniuses. All of us.โ
Witch Spray and Creepy Rattles: Evan Being Evan
According to Jac, Evan didnโt just show up and read lines. Nope! The man brought weird energy โ and the fans loved every second of it. โThe witch spray? That was all him. That unsettling rattle noise? Also him. He showed up for one day, was totally in character, and then poof! He was gone, like a mystical breeze.โ
Apparently, Jac barely saw him on set because things were moving so fast. โItโs like, one second heโs there, the next heโs vanished like the last donut at a cast party. And somehow, we managed to keep it a secret! Honestly, thatโs the real magic.โ
More Secrets, More Shenanigans
With just three episodes left, Jac teased that the best is yet to come. โThere are definitely more secrets. Not a billion โ Iโm not Santa Claus โ but there are things nobody will predict,โ she said, with the same mischievous grin Agatha probably wears before doing something regrettable.
Jac likened the showโs surprises to Christmas morning, with one special gift saved for later. โItโs like, you unwrap everything, think youโre done, and then bamโyou find out thereโs one more present hiding behind the couch. Thatโs what weโre going for.โ
With Evan Peters back in the mix, witch spray in hand, and narrative rugs waiting to be yanked out from under us, Agatha All Along is gearing up to be one wild broomstick ride to the finish. ๐
