Evan Peters has popped up in the most chaotic way imaginable. The 37-year-old master of “Wait, what just happened?” reprised his role as Ralph Bohner from WandaVision — and yes, the name still makes everyone giggle. This time, he materialized in a throwback scene with Joe Locke and Miles Gutierrez-Riley, leaving fans everywhere gasping, “Wait… wasn’t that…?”
In a new interview, Agatha All Along showrunner Jac Schaeffer spilled the mystical tea on Evan’s unexpected return, the Easter eggs he brought to set, and even promised more jaw-dropping moments for the show’s final episodes. Grab your cauldron, things are brewing!
“Agatha, Evan, and Chaos — A Package Deal!”
On SiriusXM’s The Spotlight with Jessica Shaw, Jac revealed that having Evan back was always part of the master plan. “I mean, if it’s Agatha, you have to have songs, costumes, and obviously Evan Peters,” Jac said with a grin, like a kid who knows where all the candy is hidden. “I love working with him, he’s hilarious, and let’s be real — we had unfinished business with his character.”
Apparently, they’ve known for ages that Evan would play the “exposition dump” — but, like everything Peters touches, this “boring backstory” role got upgraded to “wildly entertaining chaos.” “I mean, remember how in WandaVision we had that whole ‘Surprise! This isn’t a sitcom’ moment? Yeah, I wanted to do that again because, frankly, it was too much fun the first time.”
Plot Twists Served Hot and Confusing
Jac kept the energy going, hinting at the intricate narrative structure they designed — like a jigsaw puzzle… but the pieces are scattered across alternate realities. “The first couple episodes are kinda their own bubble. It’s like, ‘Oh, cool, this is Mare of Easttown for witches.’ Then, boom! You realize it’s all part of something bigger.”
She even admitted that figuring out Evan’s character as the “avatar of the backstory” came from one of those lightning-bolt moments — although she can’t remember who had the idea. “It might’ve been me. It might’ve been one of my writers. Who knows? But we’re geniuses. All of us.”
Witch Spray and Creepy Rattles: Evan Being Evan
According to Jac, Evan didn’t just show up and read lines. Nope! The man brought weird energy — and the fans loved every second of it. “The witch spray? That was all him. That unsettling rattle noise? Also him. He showed up for one day, was totally in character, and then poof! He was gone, like a mystical breeze.”
Apparently, Jac barely saw him on set because things were moving so fast. “It’s like, one second he’s there, the next he’s vanished like the last donut at a cast party. And somehow, we managed to keep it a secret! Honestly, that’s the real magic.”
More Secrets, More Shenanigans
With just three episodes left, Jac teased that the best is yet to come. “There are definitely more secrets. Not a billion — I’m not Santa Claus — but there are things nobody will predict,” she said, with the same mischievous grin Agatha probably wears before doing something regrettable.
Jac likened the show’s surprises to Christmas morning, with one special gift saved for later. “It’s like, you unwrap everything, think you’re done, and then bam—you find out there’s one more present hiding behind the couch. That’s what we’re going for.”
With Evan Peters back in the mix, witch spray in hand, and narrative rugs waiting to be yanked out from under us, Agatha All Along is gearing up to be one wild broomstick ride to the finish. 🎄
