63-year-old Oscar-winner and ‘The View’ host Whoopi Goldberg will be reprising her role from the 1992 cult-classic ‘SISTER ACT!’
Whoopi will be playing Deloris Van Cartier in the musical adaptation – the same character she played in the movie – for one month only during Summer 2020 at London’s Eventim Apollo from July 29 to August 30, 2020. Jennifer Saunders from ‘Ab Fab’ is slated to play Mother Superior.
Goldberg says in a statement regarding her upcoming role: “The original Deloris is back! A little older, a little seasoned, but really still kind of out there. I would buy tickets, but I can’t buy tickets because I’m in it. But I think this could be the event of the century. That’s all I’m saying, small thing, but THE event.” ‘Sister Act: The Musical’ tickets are already on sale now. Let us know: WILL YOU TRAVEL TO LONDON JUST TO WATCH SISTER ACT: THE MUSICAL? DO YOU LIVE IN LONDON ALREADY? IF SO, WILL YOU HAVE TIME TO WATCH WHOOPI GOLDBERG? HAVE YOU WATCHED SISTER ACT: THE MOVIE?
