Vince Vaughn just spaghetti’d all over the red carpet at the world premiere of Nonnas—Netflix’s upcoming tribute to carbs, grief, and the magical healing powers of Italian grandmas.
The 55-year-old Wedding Crashers MVP showed up at The Plaza Hotel in NYC on April 30, looking like he was ready to slay both the camera and a plate of baked ziti. Joining him? A cast so stacked, it looks like someone raided Hollywood’s finest wine cellar. We’re talkin’ Susan Sarandon (icon), Joe Manganiello (abs), Lorraine Bracco (mob mom royalty), Brenda Vaccaro (legend), and a crew of other stars that could make even the pickiest nonna say, “Mamma mia!”
Oh, and speaking of plus-ones, Vince brought his stunning wife Kyla Weber, and Joe brought his girlfriend Caitlin O’Connor, who probably spent the night trying to make sure Joe didn’t eat all the props. Also in the house: director Stephen Chbosky (of Perks of Being a Wallflower fame) and writer Liz Maccie, the brave soul who asked, “What if grief… but make it pasta?”
🍝 Here’s the plot, in case you forgot your menu: A dude loses his mom and, naturally, decides the only logical way to cope is to open an Italian restaurant staffed entirely by nonnas. Yes. Real grandmas. Real sauce. Real drama. Less Hell’s Kitchen, more Heaven’s Dining Room.
The movie also stars Talia Shire (aka Rocky’s Adrian), Linda Cardellini, Drea de Matteo, and Campbell Scott, because apparently this film needed even *more* star power and potential lasagna recipes.
Nonnas hits Netflix on May 9, just in time for Mother’s Day—because nothing says “I love you, Mom” like a movie about grandma-run restaurants and emotional healing through marinara.
Watch the trailer now—and remember: if you don’t cry, laugh, or immediately crave meatballs, you might be dead inside.
