Tyra Banks, 46, will be replacing longtime ‘Dancing With the Stars’ hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews!
Tyra will also act as executive producer on the show…The ‘former’ supermodel says in a statement about joining ‘Dancing With the Stars:’ “I’ve been a fan of DWTS since its beginning. The fun mixed with raw emotion, seeing celebrities push past their comfort zones, the sizzling dance performances… it’s always transported me to my days of turning it up 10 notches on the catwalk. Tom has set a powerful stage, and I’m excited to continue the legacy and put on my executive producer and hosting hats.”
Tom Bergeron had hosted the show for all of its 15 years and 28 seasons. According to a source, ABC is going in “a new creative direction” and announced that host Erin Andrews, 42, won’t be returning either…Let us know: DO YOU WATCH DANCING WITH THE STARS? DO YOU THINK TYRA WILL MAKE A GOOD HOST? DOES THE SHOW NEED A FORMER TOP MODEL?
Just informed @DancingABC will be continuing without me. It's been an incredible 15 year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I'm grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?
