Cue the Beverly Hills, 90210 theme song and grab a tissue—Tori Spelling is getting all the feels, and we’re here for it.
On Saturday, April 12 (yes, the day the stars weep glitter), 51-year-old Tori Spelling—aka everyone’s fave drama queen Donna Martin—jumped on Instagram Stories to give a heavenly shoutout to her iconic bestie, the late Shannen Doherty, on what would’ve been her 54th birthday.
Tori posted a classic throwback pic of the two 90s legends holding hands, smiling like they just got backstage passes to an NSYNC concert, and captioned it with:
“Happy Earth birthday. I miss you Shan. I love you. I hope my power makes you proud.”
Can someone pass the tissues AND the lip gloss? Because we’re getting misty-eyed and chapped over here.
She didn’t stop there—Tori also dropped a second nostalgia bomb: a snap of her, Shannen, and Brian Austin Green on the 90210 set, living their best 90s lives with crimped hair and denim for days. The caption?
“Forever friends.”
(We’re not crying, YOU’RE crying.)
In case you’ve been living under a rock with zero cable and no appreciation for iconic teen dramas: Shannen Doherty sadly passed away on July 14, 2024, at the age of 53 after battling breast cancer. She was—and forever will be—Brenda Walsh, the queen of teen angst and eyebrow-raising comebacks. She also cast spells as Prue Halliwell on Charmed and redefined “mean girl” as Heather Duke in Heathers.
Tori’s tribute was sweet, sad, and gave us a double-dose of 90s realness. And honestly? We hope Shannen is up there rolling her eyes lovingly, sipping a celestial latte, and saying, “Classic Tori.”
