Tiffany Haddish is turning her DUI into comedy gold!
The 44-year-old comedian and actress lit up Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday (June 12) with tales of her Beverly Hills adventure, which began with a Thanksgiving Day snooze behind the wheel of her Tesla.
Here’s the scoop: Tiffany was arrested for catching some Zs in her car, parked right in the middle of the road. Why, you ask? Well, she’d been up since 5 a.m. serving food to the homeless and whipping up some killer collard greens for her family feast. After stuffing herself with Thanksgiving goodness, she got an SOS call from a “rich friend” who’d managed to fire their chef on the big day. Naturally, Tiffany jumped to the rescue with leftovers in tow.
Now, here’s where it gets juicy. Tiffany figured she could hand-deliver the food, chat up some business, and maybe sneak in a drink. But, after all that turkey and good deeds, our girl was exhausted. And her Tesla, bless its little AI heart, decided to play mom and put her down for a nap right there on the street.
“I have a Tesla and Tesla drives itself,” she explained. “If you start nodding off, it’s like, ‘Hey, you okay there? Need a break? Let’s park and take a breather.’ Apparently, it thinks you might be dead or having a seizure. At least, that’s what I heard in court.”
When the cops showed up, Tiffany, who blew a whopping .03, got a free trip to the slammer. And let me tell you, she’s got rave reviews for the Beverly Hills jail.
“If I ever decide to go full criminal mastermind, I’m only doing it in Beverly Hills,” she joked. “Prettiest police station ever! I’ve been to jail a few times in my youth, and this place was like the Ritz-Carlton of jails. Clean toilets, respectful officers, and I swear, the sink had sparkling water!”
