Meghan Markle’s 75-year-old estranged father, Thomas, says he felt “jealous” when Prince Charles walked his daughter down the aisle at her and Prince Harry’s big 2018 wedding!
Thomas says in a new Channel 5 documentary titled ‘Thomas Markle: My Story:’ “I stayed in a safe house and watched the wedding. My daughter looked beautiful. I wish that I could have been there with her.” Thomas adds that he was appreciative that Charles was able to walk Meghan down the aisle and that she didn’t have to do it alone, but he still says he feels like he should have been there. Thomas says: “I was jealous because I really wanted to do that. I admit I cried a bit about that. To this day, I can’t forget that moment.” Due to a “massive heart attack,” Thomas was unable to fly and attend the wedding however insiders have claimed he was disinvited after staging paparazzi photos. Meghan feared he would exploit the wedding attendance more. Thomas continues in the documentary: “If I didn’t treat the heart attack, I wouldn’t be here now.”
He also says that he had a few choice words for Prince Harry, after Harry showed no sympathy for him after the heart attack, saying that he told the former Duke of Sussex: “It’s a shame I didn’t die because you both could pretend that you’re sad…” He hasn’t spoken to his daughter or son-in-law in a very long time, continuing: “I haven’t heard from them or spoken to them since. Meghan was my most important relationship and my pride and joy. I miss Meghan. I miss who she was. I don’t know she is now. That’s the problem.” On Megxit, Thomas says: “They couldn’t have done anything worse to harm the Queen – probably the most loved and respected woman in the world.” Watch Thomas’ tell-all documentary ‘Thomas Markle: My Story’ below and let us know: DO YOU FEEL SAD FOR THOMAS MARKLE?
