39-year-old former ‘The Vampire Diaries’ superstar Paul Wesley has just been cast in the second season of ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.’
Paul will be playing James T. Kirk – a role played by William Shatner, 90, in the original ‘Star Trek’ series which aired in the 1960s.
Executive producer Alex Kurtzman and showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers say of choosing to cast Paul: “Paul is an accomplished actor, an astonishing presence and a welcome key addition to the show.
