The first look at The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 is here, and things are heating up faster than a car seat in August!
Lola Tung (a.k.a. Belly, the Queen of Romantic Confusion), Gavin Casalegno (Jeremiah, Professional Charmer), Christopher Briney (Conrad, Mr. Brooding), Sean Kaufman (Steven, the chaotic sibling energy we love), and Rain Spencer (Taylor, the bestie who tells it like it is) are ALL back for what promises to be the most dramatic, tear-jerking, heart-fluttering season yet.
The Plot Thickens (Like Sunscreen That Won’t Rub In)
Season 3 is diving straight into We’ll Always Have Summer, the third book in Jenny Han’s series—meaning heartbreak, love triangles, and at least three moments where you’ll yell at your screen, “Belly, PLEASE just pick a man and stick with it!”
Jenny Han herself has teased that this final season is full of swoon-worthy Belly and Jeremiah moments. “Lola and Gavin have incredible chemistry,” she told EW, which means fans should brace themselves for some serious LOOKS (you know, the ones where their eyes linger a second too long, and you just KNOW it’s about to go down).
Oh, and there’s a time jump! Conrad has been MIA, which means when he returns, he’s probably got a whole new level of broodiness unlocked. Maybe even a beard? Maybe not. Either way, emotions will be served, piping hot.
Wait, There Are Surprises?!
Jenny Han also confirmed that while the show is sticking kinda close to the book, there will be plot twists. “There are things they know, things they think they know, and things that will surprise them,” she said cryptically. So, translation: Expect chaos.
Will Belly finally make a decision? Will Jeremiah and Conrad have another intense beachside argument? Will Steven continue to be the underrated comedic relief? All these answers (and probably a lot of emotional damage) will be revealed when The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 hits Prime Video in July.
