The official STAR WARS Instagram account has just unveiled the title of the eighth episode in the saga/ninth film in the series; that begun a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away in 1977!
The film will officially be titled STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, and is written by Rian Johnson (43) and is produced by Ram Bergman and Kathleen Kennedy. Executive producers include JJ Abrams (50), Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski.
The cast includes the late Carrie Fisher as Leia and returning cast members Adam Driver (33), Oscar Isaac (37), John Boyega (24), Lupita Nyong’o’ (33), Anthony Daniels, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis. Joining the cast as new members are Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran. STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI is set for release in theaters on December 15 2017.
