68-year-old ‘The Talk’ show host Sharon Osbourne has been cancelled from the show which is now on-hiatus, after certain comments she’d made in the past were brought up during an episode of ‘The Talk’ and deemed RACIST!
In a new interview with ET, Sharon says that she was “set up” because she supported her friend Piers Morgan for leaving ‘Good Morning Britain’ after comments he’d made about Meghan Markle’s claims of racism at Buckingham Palace…Sharon had said that while she didn’t agree with Piers she thought his “freedom of speech” was important…Now claims of racist language used by Sharon have been brought to light, and she was even asked about them during an episode of the show which she says she wasn’t prepared for and setup by CBS!
In her ET interview Osbourne says of the incident: “Sheryl turns around and asks me this question and….she was reading it off a card. It wasn’t on my cards. And then Elaine [Welteroth]’s reading her questions and I’m like, ‘I’ve been set up.’ They’re setting me up. My anger was like, I cannot believe this, I’m your sacrificial lamb.” During Sharon’s ‘set-up’ and subsequent claims, she is being brought-to-task for comments she’d made about co-host and Chinese-American Julie Chen and using homophobic slurs too when talking about openly-gay co-host Sara Gilbert…
