27-year-old ‘Dance Again’ superstar Selena Gomez is not too happy with the makers of a mobile game now available on the iTunes App Store!
Gomez is currently suing the makers of ‘Clothes Forever – Styling Game’ for a whopping $10 MILLION, claiming they allegedly stole her likeness and use it in the game without her permission. The game is advertised as a platform where users can “interact with the most beautiful models and celebrities; the likes of Kardashian, Gigi, Beyoncé, Taylor, and more will be dropping by and asking for YOUR fashion advice.” ‘Clothes Forever – STyling Game’ also offers in-app purchases such as digital fashion and digital jewelry that costs from anywhere between $.99 to $99.99.
The character in the game that is allegedly based on Selena Gomez looks very much like Selena on the cover of Flare’s November 2015 issue, and her lawyers state in their suit: “Defendants never requested, consulted, or informed Gomez regarding the use of any of her publicity rights in connection with the Game. Nor, if asked, would Gomez have consented to such use.” Selena’s lawyers also add that the star has “carefully curated all endorsements and business opportunities” and they call the ‘Clothes Forever’ game “bug-riddled and rated a measly 3.5 stars out of 5…” – something definitely not suited for Selena Gomez!…Take a look at the character based on Selena in the game below and let us know: DOES THE CHARACTER REALLY LOOK LIKE THE REAL-LIFE SELENA GOMEZ? WOULD YOU HAVE RECOGNIZED HER IF YOU PLAYED ‘CLOTHES FOREVER – STYLING GAME?’ HAVE YOU PLAYED IT YET?! LET US KNOW!
