34-year-old ‘Gossip Girl’ star Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, 45, are matching $1 million in donations to help the refugees of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
Reynolds sent out a tweet reading: “In 48 hours, countless Ukrainians were forced to flee their homes to neighboring countries. They need protection. When you donate, we’ll match it up to $1,000,000, creating double the support.”
Blake wrote on her Instagram page alongside a photo of a refugee-child: “@vancityreynolds and I are doubling every dollar donated to @usaforunhcr up to $1,000,000…” All donations made by the famous couple will go to the UNHCR and UN Refugee Agency…Blake added on Instagram: “@usaforunhcr is on the ground helping the 50,000+ Ukrainians who had to flee their homes in less than 48 hours. @usaforunhcr is providing life saving aid, and also working with neighboring countries to ensure protection for these families.” Take a look below and to donate click here.
